My original Mod Mosaic tutorial was for making a pillow but, after using the method to make blocks for a couple of quilts, I found that I had revised and refined my technique. You can download a pdf file below with instructions for my updated Mod Mosaic piecing technique. It's a lot of fun and a great way to use up scraps. I also think it's a fabulous, if somewhat unconventional, way to use fussy-cut pieces of your favorite print fabrics.
If you want to make a quilt like the ones shown here, you may also be interested in my tutorial for Making a Two-Sided Quilt with Floating Blocks.

The large-scale bee and coordinating prints shown in the pattern are from Melody Miller's Ruby Star Spring collection. The Kona solids used as negative space on the front and back of the quilt shown at the top of this post are Kona Emerald and Kona Ice Peach.
