LAP QUILT SAMPLE

The pandas in my sample are made using Robert Kaufman’s Kona Solids and Essex Yarn-Dyed linen blends, as listed on the pattern back. To make pandas that look like mine, select an almost-black fabric like Essex Yarn-Dyed Charcoal for the Dark Solid Panda Fabric (the dark part of the panda bodies) and a true black fabric like Kona Black for the Black Solid Detail Fabric (eyes and noses). Having the eyes and noses be the darkest part of the composition will make your pandas look more “realistic”.

My pandas’ sweaters were made using fat quarters of my Kitchen Window Wovens. This page on Robert Kaufman’s site shows which ones.

A kit including the pattern and all fabrics for making the quilt top and binding is also available. Your favorite shop can order precuts and kits from Robert Kaufman Fabrics now for projected shipping in December 2021.
