LANA LEMUR

The best thing about these patchwork lemurs has to be their stripey tails! Lana Lemur is made using 10” solid squares to make the lemur bodies, masks, and tail stripes and 5” print squares to make the ear details. With all the bold solids being used in the blocks, a subtle print makes a perfect background fabric.

Although some pieces are small, the smallest parts are sewn a little large and then cut to size to give you a little bit of wiggle room. Everything is made using conventional patchwork techniques. No templates or paper piecing!

My sample projects were made using prints from my Adventure collection for Robert Kaufman, Kona Solids, and Essex Linen Blend. Scroll down to see fabric guides for my Lana Lemur samples. The fabrics and precuts referenced below are available as of August 2019.
