Solar Eclipse

A modern take on the classic Delectable Mountains quilt block, this pattern includes four block variations that are enhanced by using fabrics in a range of values.

QUILT SIZES

Pointy quilts are made with sets of five blocks, 4-1/2" x 30-1/2" each. (This is the finished size. The blocks measure 5" x 31" with seam allowance.)

BABY QUILT

The 32" x 32" Baby Quilt is made with one set of four blocks (four total blocks).

LAP QUILT

The 64" x 64" Lap Quilt is made with four sets of four blocks (16 total blocks).

QUEEN BED QUILT

The 96" x 96" Queen Bed Quilt is made with nine sets of four blocks (36 total blocks).

ABOUT THE PATTERN

This is a patchwork pattern. All fabric is rotary cut and sewn together using conventional patchwork piecing.

ABOUT THE FABRIC

Each block style is made with four coordinating fabrics (Fabrics 1 - 4) in a range of values with Fabric 1 being the lightest and Fabric 4 being the darkest. Each block also includes a white solid Background Fabric.

Refer to the pattern back image for yardages and a list of the Kona Solids I used to make my sample quilt.

ABOUT THE QUILTING

My Lap Quilt sample was free-motion quilted by me, on my Janome 1600p.
