Preppy Pod
QUILT SIZES
Preppy Pod quilts are made with three sizes of my Preppy the Whale block: 6" x 15" Small Blocks, 12" x 30" Medium Blocks, and 18" x 45" Large Blocks.
SMALL QUILT
The 45" x 48" Small Quilt is made with seven Small Blocks, two Medium Blocks, and one Large Block.
LAP QUILT
The 72" x 75" Large Quilt is made with 20 Small Blocks, eight Medium Blocks, and one Large Block.
ABOUT THE PATTERN
Preppy Pod includes instructions for Small and Large quilts featuring patchwork whale blocks in three sizes.
This pattern includes a diagram and chart showing all of the pieces needed to make each block. You can use this as a reference while making the pattern projects, or as a guide for making individual blocks and scrappy projects.

ABOUT THE FABRIC
The pattern includes a fabric chart for my Large Quilt sample, which was made with my Fall 2015 Pacific collection and Chambray Union. Both of these Robert Kaufman collections are now out of print, but you can still use the chart as color inspiration and as a guide for distributing your own fabrics among the blocks in the quilt.
ABOUT THE QUILTING
My Large Quilt sample was free-motion quilted by me, on my Janome 1600p, using a pattern of meandering ripples. For longarm quilting, any similar edge-to-edge design should look great!
