ABOUT THE PATTERN
This is a patchwork pattern. All fabric is rotary cut and sewn together using conventional patchwork piecing.
This pattern also includes diagrams and charts showing all of the pieces needed to make each block. You can use these as a reference while making the pattern projects, or as a guide for making individual blocks and scrappy projects.
Among my patterns, Pineapple Farm is rated Skill Level 3 (of 5). You can read more about skill levels here.
ABOUT THE FABRIC
USING FAT QUARTERS
The pattern calls for fat quarters (18" x 21" each) because that is the closest standard cut. Actual fabric used for each Pineapple Body fat quarter is 12" x 21". Actual fabric used for each Pineapple Leaf fat quarter is 14" x 21".
Groups of 1 Leaf Fabric and 3 Pineapple Body Fabrics will be used to make sets of six blocks. I recommend selecting groups of fabrics that coordinate, but have some contrast among them. This can be in color, value, print, or texture. For example, in my sample projects, each on my groups included a Kona Solid, an Essex Linen Blend, and at least one of my Kitchen Window Wovens.
USING 10" x 10" SQUARES
The pattern also includes instructions for using precut 10" x 10" squares or scraps. Groups of 1 Leaf Fabric square and 3 Pineapple Body Fabric squares will be used to make sets of two blocks.
ABOUT THE QUILTING
My cover samples were quilted by Emily Hoppe of So Sunny Quilts using Hills and Valley Echo by Julie Hirt.
