QUILT AND PILLOW SIZES

Legendary projects are made with 11-1/2" x 18" Bigfoot blocks and 8" x 20" Tree Blocks.

PILLOW

The 26" x 26" Pillow is made with one Tree and one Bigfoot block.

LAP QUILT

The 60" x 72" Lap Quilt is made with 14 Tree and one Bigfoot block.

ABOUT THE PATTERN 

This is a patchwork pattern. All fabric is rotary cut and sewn together using conventional patchwork piecing. 

This pattern also includes a diagram and chart showing all of the pieces needed to make each block. You can use this as a reference while making the pattern projects, or as a guide for making individual blocks and scrappy projects.

The Bigfoot block includes some small pieces. The pattern will walk you through the process of sewing it with both diagrams and written instructions for each step. The tree blocks are made of comparatively larger pieces that are simpler and faster to put together.

ABOUT THE FABRIC

The fabrics in my sample quilt are from my Fall 2016 Pacific collection for Robert Kaufman, which is now out of print. You can make a quilt in a similar color scheme using Kona Natural as the Background, Kona Bonsai for the Trees, and Kona Roasted Pecan for Bigfoot and the Tree Trunks.

ABOUT THE QUILTING

My Picnic Quilt sample was free-motion quilted by me, on my Janome 1600p, in a woodgrain pattern.
