Hazel Hedgehog

Use conventional patchwork piecing to make a array of friendly patchwork hedgehogs!

This is my original Hazel Hedgehog pattern. Hazel Hedgehog II is a separate pattern for making quilts with larger blocks.

QUILT SIZES

Hazel Hedgehog blocks measure 8" wide x 9" tall.

BABY QUILT

The 37" x 43" Baby Quilt is made with nine blocks.

LAP QUILT

The 56" x 61" Lap Quilt is made with 25 blocks.

TWIN BED QUILT

The 66" x 83" Twin Bed Quilt is made with 42 blocks.

ABOUT THE PATTERN

This is a patchwork pattern. All fabric is rotary cut and sewn together using conventional patchwork piecing.

This pattern includes a diagram and chart showing all of the pieces needed to make each block. You can use this as a reference while making the pattern projects, or as a guide for making individual blocks and scrappy projects.

ABOUT THE FABRIC

Each Hazel Hedgehog block is made with a light, medium, and dark/colorful fabric. Refer to the pattern back image for yardages and more information about selecting fabrics.

OPTIONAL GLASSES APPLIQUE

The pdf pattern includes a full-size glasses pattern that you can use to make raw-edge glasses appliqués for your blocks.

ABOUT THE QUILTING

My samples were free-motion quilted by me, on my Janome 1600p.
