Like so many quilters, I have fond memories of time spent in fabric stores as a child. Looking at the fabric was fun, but I usually went straight for the pattern books and, specifically, the Crafts sections of those books. They were filled with a whole wonderful world of themed potholders and placemats, patchwork holiday decorations, stuffed animals wearing clothes, and so much more.
My new collection, Toast & Jam, is inspired by those fun and fabulous crafts patterns of the 1970s and 80s, and the small-scale calico fabrics that were so often used to make them. It’s warm and cozy and colorful – perfect for vintage-inspired sewing!
Toast & Jam is now available for wholesale preorder, for shipping in May 2027.

I love these 108" widebacks! They feature a larger version of the mushrooms from the print collection and come in four colors that make perfect backs for Toast & Jam projects.
I also have 20 yarn-dyed cotton/linen fabrics – Moda’s new CxL woven substrate -- that are being released alongside Toast and Jam. The warp and weft in each of these are different colors, adding richness to the texture of the linen. They look great on their own, or with Toast and Jam! Read more about CxL Wovens here.
